This statement is given under Data Protection Principle 1(3) of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (the “PDPO”). It applies when you send a request to Rametech Limited through a form on rametechltd.com (request for quotation, contact or company-documents request) or through the Rametech AI chat. Please read it together with our Privacy Policy.
Purposes
We collect your personal data to:
- answer your request and contact you about it;
- identify the products you ask about and prepare a quotation;
- screen the request for compliance with export-control and sanctions requirements, including checks of end use and end user;
- perform the order, if one proceeds, and keep the records that the law requires.
We will not use your personal data for direct marketing without your separate consent.
Is it obligatory?
Fields marked * are required. Without them we cannot process your request or prepare a quotation. All other fields and file uploads are optional.
In the chat, we ask for your consent before collecting your contact details. If you decline, we do not store them, and you can write to us at info@rametechltd.com instead.
Who may receive your data
- our staff who handle your request and any resulting order;
- IT service providers acting on our behalf: hosting, e-mail and notification services and the AI model provider that helps identify part numbers. Some of them process data outside Hong Kong;
- logistics companies, banks and payment providers, when an order proceeds;
- suppliers or manufacturers, where they require end-use or end-user information;
- our professional advisers;
- government, regulatory, customs and law-enforcement authorities, where required by law.
Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for these purposes and to meet legal requirements. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Access, correction and contact
Under sections 18 and 22 of the PDPO, you have the right to request access to, and correction of, your personal data. We may charge a fee that is not excessive for complying with a data access request. Please send requests and questions about this statement to:
